Ginetta G40 Cup Am – Championship Winner 2021
Rupert spent the last two years in the entry level Ginetta series, Ginetta GRDC and the G40 Cup. These championships were the ideal initial steps for Rupert moving from doing track days to competing in National race events. After this experience he now feels it is time to move up to the next level!
“Following a successful 2 years racing the Ginetta G40 car in 2020-21, I felt it was time to move up to a more powerful race car. After considering all the options and testing various makes, I decided to go with Porsche and join the first step on the Porsche Pyramid, the GT4 Cayman. Not only is this the entry into GT racing but the car has been designed for endurance racing. This is of particular interest to me as I am ultimately targeting endurance racing in Europe as my goal.
The Porsche brand is synonymous with sports car endurance racing, competing in legendary events like Le Mans 24hrs. Porsche is one of the most successful sport car racing icons with arguably the most reliable and well supported products in the racing world. It was these qualities that convinced me Porsche was the right choice, therefore 2022 will be my Porsche rookie year. I am very excited and looking forward to learning the car with the continued support of Raceway Motorsport.”
